Welcome to Historic First Baptist Church

Welcome to the First Baptist Church

Welcome to the First Baptist Church! A warm welcome awaits you
in our fellowship and worship services. The Bible is the guiding text
of our church and it states, "...not forsaking the assembling of
our selves together." Jesus said, Where two or three
of you are gathered together in my name, I am in your midst."Inspiration and encouragement will fill your heart and life anew as we share love in praise, prayer, worship, and fellowship. It is the proven dedication of our believers in our Lord Jesus Christ,
constant prayer with faith-in-action by our dedicated laity, and the
congregation reaching out to our greater community with helpful
services. Moreover, it is evidence in the faithful leadership and
team work by qualified and committed Christians.

What we believe

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible Word of God and our
rule and guide for Faith, Life and Doctrine.

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life,
His miracles,His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection,
His ascension to the right of the Father, and in his personal future
return to this earth in power and glory.

The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance
and faith in the blood of Christ.

In water baptism by immersion(if physically able to do so).

In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the
Christian is enabled to live a holy life.

In the blessed hope - the rapture of the church at Christ's coming.

In serving the Lord's Supper to any person who believes Jesus Christ
is their Lord and Savior.

In worldwide evangelization.
